Planners argue that center bus lanes are required for the A.R.T. project. The go to model -- Cleveland -- does not have center lanes on the whole route. Can You Have Bus Rapid Transit Without Center Lanes?
Yes. Many United States systems have rapid bus transit lanes along the edge of the road. Cleveland's Euclid Avenue has bus lanes in the center and also along the edge.
